Let's catch up..

If you follow me on Instagram or are a fan on Facebook, you may already know that I took the summer off from popping up at markets – so I could hang out with my 5yr old, make more doll stock for my upcoming website launch and help out a bit more at my “day Job” as a playworker, at a local children's charity project who run a holiday playscheme.

The summer seems so long ago, now, but while I had a lot of fun I also had a lot of time to come up with some new product ideas and plan out my Christmas market Pop-Ups (thinking about Christmas in august!! I know, right!!) I came back from my summer break, in September, to lots of changes – my little one started year 1 and so we had a whole new morning school run routine.

I had a stall booked that first weekend back, with Local Makers – in Wanstead, which was part of the Wanstead Fringe Festival and Wanstead Arts Trail which brought together artisan crafters, art lovers and children’s activities throughout the day.

Shortly after that, I popped up at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre in Tottenham, with @Craftynolo which was great despite my hangover – (note to self don’t go out out, the night before a market!!) Another lovely day surrounded by such cool designer makers from in and around north London.

My final market in September was the Fam East event at Old Spittalfields Market.

The Fam East event was so cool - so many amazing stalls of family focused and kids brands as well as face-painting, activities and workshops for the kids – not to mention the amazing food stalls that had me tempted all day! Luckily I had my niece, sister and son all helping out at different points of the day! My son decided he was going to set up his own little business, selling his artwork, from a corner of my stall and even made a sale of his own! He was so happy with himself that he now wants to come to every market with me – what have I got myself into?!

Fam East was also where I debuted my Doll Gift Box and it was a hit! But I’ll tell you more about that in my next post 😉

October is a quiet month for me – so I won't be at any pop-ups or makers market until I join Crafty North Londoner and the Etsy North London team on Saturday November 2nd and Sunday November 3rd at The Factory in Dalston.

You’ll be able to find me and the dolls at The Factory, Shacklewell Lane, Dalston, E8 2DA it’s a two day market jam packed with local independent designer makers, giving you a great opportunity to start your Christmas shopping!

Trading hours are: Saturday: 11am to 6pm and Sunday: 11am - 5pm

I really hope to see some of you there!
